Product Type Changes

Product Types are becoming Product Categories.

Product Categories are here to bring better product grouping to your catalog. It is an extension of the existing product types that allows the creation of a hierarchy.

The existing product types APIs now include two new fields to indicate their position in the hierarchy.

leaf_category will tell you if a product category is at the bottom of the hierarchy.
category_path will tell you how a specific product category fits into the hierarchy.
