All of the 1.0 endpoints have been deprecated for quite some time and today we're officially beginning the process of sunsetting them. We're starting with a few endpoints which are seeing a negligible amount of traffic to minimize the risk of causing problems for API consumers.

What's new in the API?

This update provides you with documentation on creating and managing Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) Gift Cards using the API. We've marked this functionality as Beta so that we can gather feedback on it. This means that the functionality may be subject to change.

We're embarking on a number of changes and updates to the Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) API's public documentation. This update will provide you with documentation on how you can interact with and create Promotions using the API. You can also use the Promotions API to determine which promotions apply to a sale.

As a part of an ongoing effort to make Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) and its API as secure as possible, we have decided to introduce a couple of security-related changes. Both of these changes are introduced to reduce the risk of leaking sensitive information that could lead to compromising the safety of retailer's data.
